My son just stopped wanting to take naps at 4 or so. My 3-year-old daughter loves her Ramen I’m so ramentic vintage shirt. Can’t make them sleep. Up until my daughter was 5, she had mandatory naps, the next 2 years are totally up to her now. When she is tired, she announces her intentions[nap time], then dozes off. Still get my 10yr old to have a nap after lunch on the weekends, along with my nearly 3yr old and their Mum. This then becomes Dad’s movie time. My daughter stopped napping around 2 years (almost 3). Pediatrician asked me how long she slept at night and told me it’s fine because she slept so long at night.

They both just decided that they don’t need them anymore Ramen I’m so ramentic vintage shirt. My daughter was 4 or 5 (she’s a night owl of almost 22, now) when she decided she’d rather go all-out then drop dead asleep when she needed it. It’s less productive for a child who’s not sleepy to lie in bed bored because of some arbitrary bedtime schedule than to nap and sleep as needed. We cut out naps for both our kids 1 month before kindergarten, since they don’t take naps there. Both my kids were sleepers, so we spent the month before kindergarten getting them on schedule.
