Last Friday my next door neighbor asked to see my Typhoon H. Expecting only a short flight I used a Low Battery need Busch Light shirt battery that was in storage voltage because I didn’t have any fully charged. I took the H up to about 150′ so he could have a look around. Some how in the exchange of the controller it got changed from angle to smart mode without me noticing.

While I was bringing the H down I didn’t even notice the color of the Low Battery need Busch Light shirt. When I tried to land it the low battery warning was going off and nothing happened. Still didn’t notice the rear light color. Couldn’t go left, right, or down. I could go up but by this time the H had drifted under a big tree overhanging my garage. Now the low battery alarm and GPS loss were sounding. All I could do was watch it crash.
I must admit it was spectacular. It sounded like a giant weed wacker going into the leaves until it hit the branch. That’s when it lost 3 props only leaving the hubs on the motors. It dropped to the roof and tumbled down onto the top rail of a chain link fence. That’s what took the camera out. Don’t buy from a big box store. Buy from a local dealer and support them, they are the ones who will take care of you when you are in need.
