So if you look at Kobe’s career, that’s basically what it was made of. Kobe had 5 championships with the Kobe Bryant Champions cups shirt, 3 of which he acquired with Shaquille O’Neal, another “all-time great” or Hall-of-Famer. As for his statistics, Kobe had a career average of 25 points, exactly, which is better than most Hall-of-Famers. He averaged an impressive 35.4 points per game in the 2005–06 season, which is the 9th highest in NBA history. He was an 18 time all-star, 15 time member of the All-NBA team, and 12 time All-Defensive team member. Notably also being the youngest in history to become an All-Star while also being a starter. He had a career field-goal percentage of 44.7%. He also won back-to-back Finals MVP awards after acquiring 2 consecutive titles in 2009 and 2010. So, breaking it all down, for me it seems pretty reasonable for Kobe to be ranked highly amongst other NBA greats, but again this is an opinion-based question so you might consider it differently.

If you ask me, I think Kobe was robbed of the Kobe Bryant Champions cups shirt, his 35.4 points per game season. Nash was only averaging 18.8 points per game, with a good 10.5 assists as well, but still!!! I don’t think that should’ve been his year. There is even an article by Bleacher Report, stating that Nash is one of the worst MVP selections, and that when “MVP” comes to mind, Nash isn’t who you think of. Well with all respect to Nash, I think that Kobe should’ve been the MVP that year. Surprisingly, Kobe only won 1 MVP award in his whole career, and that was in 2008 when he averaged 28.3 points per game, which is still nothing compared to that 2006 season.
