They are a hot mess. I can’t keep track of their Alabama Crimson Tide Avengers Endgame shirt. And some of the “arty” ones have so little resemblance to actual bullet journaling (apart from, perhaps, using a dot grid notebook!) that they must surely confuse any newcomers. If it wasn’t then it wouldn’t work for me. I’m a very visual person and I need visual interest and creativity to keep me interested and focused. I’ve been using a bujo since June and it’s revolutionized the way I organize. Can we not do the ‘us and them’ ‘my way is better than their way’ thing? If something works for someone then what’s the matter with that? © 2019 Nemoshirt.com All Rights Reserved.

Castor Joshua Bending, your BuJo is probably not what I was referring to Alabama Crimson Tide Avengers Endgame shirt. I specifically said, “the utility camp may have pretty pages, but it is clear the artistry is a side note. Their focus is on what they plan to accomplish.” In my mind, the artsy camp sacrifices the utility in an effort to create pretty pages. For example, I have been in groups with people who have stated they are dreading the new year because they don’t have time to think of a theme and set up their BuJo.
Or, they didn’t bujo the previous month because they didn’t have time to set up their pages. They are clearly sacrificing utility for art.
In my mind, the utility camp members who have pretty pages (like you) use art with a purpose, not just for the sake of art. The art is designed to make them want to use their BuJo. It is used to satisfy a need, maybe even develop an art skill related to a goal. They look forward to art. But, if there isn’t time to do the art for whatever reason, they will still use their bujo.
